What wait and load means
With wait and load, the vehicle stays while you load the skip, then takes it away. It can be useful when material is already ready and you do not need a skip for the standard hire period. It is arranged by phone so Chris can check the material, the safe loading location and the timing before agreeing a visit.
You arrange the loading
Have enough help ready to load safely within the agreed time. The service does not include a team entering the property to carry out a clearance. Keep a clear route between the material and the skip, and do not put anyone under pressure to lift an unsafe load simply to finish more quickly.
Check the location before making plans
SK’s private-land placement policy still matters. Wait and load is not a way around an unsuitable or unapproved road position. Explain where the vehicle will stop and where loading will happen. Chris needs to confirm that the location and the approach are suitable before the visit can be arranged.
Agree the time and price
Ask Chris to confirm the included waiting time and any additional charge when arranging the job. Have the material ready before the vehicle arrives and tell us promptly if the plan changes. Do not make a standard online hire booking expecting it to become a wait-and-load visit automatically.
The same waste rules apply
Explain exactly what you need to load. Keep prohibited items out and declare anything requiring special discussion, including mattresses or an uncertain heavy load. Check the current material rules for the size you choose. All material must remain safely within the skip’s fill level.
