Start with the project, then choose the skip
A bathroom refit, a kitchen replacement and a garden tidy-up can create very different loads. Think about the material as well as the amount. Our 2 yard mini is the smallest option, the 4 yard midi adds room for a larger job and the 6 yard small maxi offers more capacity for suitable lighter waste. If you are unsure, describe the job to Chris before booking.
Load at your own pace
Standard hire gives you ten days with the skip, with delivery and collection included in the listed price for the booking area. Choose a delivery date close to the start of the work so you can use that time well. If the project needs a different arrangement, speak to us before placing the booking.
A suitable spot on private land
The skip needs a suitable driveway or other private space with permission for use. It cannot go on a public road, pavement or verge. Check the approach for gates, parked cars, low branches and slopes. Leave room for the vehicle to return for collection and keep the skip where the driver places it.
Household waste has a few exceptions
Keep asbestos, fridges, freezers, tyres, gas cylinders, paints, oils and hazardous waste out. Declare each mattress when booking so the extra charge is included. Soil and uncertain materials need to be discussed with Chris first. Check the current material rules for the size you choose.
A clear plan from delivery to collection
Move vehicles before delivery, keep a safe route from the property to the skip and load no higher than the rim. Do not leave extra items alongside it for collection. If the quantity or type of waste changes, call before loading more. We can discuss the most practical next step for the job.
