Tell us what the work will produce
For builders, fitters and other trades, accurate waste information makes the booking easier. Describe the material, the likely volume and whether the job will produce rubble, soil, timber or a mixture. Do not select a larger skip simply because the work is substantial: the 6 yard small maxi is for lighter loads and cannot take heavy mixed construction waste, soil or hardcore.
Plan the site access
Choose a position wholly on suitable private land. Keep it clear of stored materials, site traffic and the route needed for other deliveries. Tell Chris about gates, overhead restrictions or awkward turning space. If the person booking will not be on site, make sure someone knows the agreed position and can explain it on arrival.
Book for the stage that needs it
Schedule the delivery around the strip-out or stage that produces the waste. Standard hire is ten days. If the work will take longer or need successive loads, discuss that in advance. A skip exchange is arranged with the team and depends on availability; it is not an automatic part of the standard online booking.
Keep everyone loading to the same rules
Share the waste description and restrictions with everyone on site. Do not add hazardous or prohibited items, and ask about uncertain materials before loading. Keep the load level with the sides. If another trade adds a different type of waste, contact Chris so the collection details can be checked.
Keep the job paperwork together
The booking email includes a draft waste transfer note for the planned job. The actual waste and transfer details need to be completed and signed when the waste is handed over. Keep your booking information available and make sure the person involved in the handover knows what has been loaded.
