These Terms & Conditions govern all skip hire services provided by SK Skip Hire. By placing an order via our website, the Customer agrees to be bound by these terms.

1. SERVICE AREAS & POSTCODE RESTRICTIONS

SK Skip Hire operates strictly within specific zones. Due to logistical costs and travel times, we cannot provide skip hire outside of the following postcodes:

  • SK1-9, SK14-16, M11-14, M18-20, M22-23, M32-34, M43, WA14-15, OL6-7

Out of Area Orders: If an order is placed for an address outside of these areas, it will be cancelled automatically. We will issue an instant refund back to the original payment method used. Please note: while we trigger the refund immediately, your bank may take 3-5 working days to show the funds in your account.

2. BOOKING & PAYMENT

All bookings must be completed via our online ordering system. Full payment is required at the time of booking via secure card payment. An order confirmation does not guarantee delivery until reviewed by our logistics team.

3. PLACEMENT & ACCESS (PRIVATE LAND ONLY)

Strict Policy: We do not allow skips to be placed on public roads, pavements, or verges under any circumstances.

  • Skips must be placed on private property only (e.g., driveways).
  • The Customer must ensure safe and clear access for HGV delivery vehicles.
  • Failed delivery due to a lack of private space or road-only access will result in a failed delivery charge.

4. DELIVERY & COLLECTION

  • Standard Hire: 10 days from the date of delivery.
  • Collections: We reserve the right to collect the skip at any time after the 10-day period.

5. ACCEPTABLE USE & WASTE TYPES

Customers must select the correct waste type. Loading incorrect waste will result in additional charges.

  • Household: General domestic waste. No hazardous items.
  • Light Mixed Construction: Plasterboard, timber, plastics.
  • Heavy Mixed Construction: Soil, brick, concrete mixed with debris.
  • Wood: Timber products only.
  • Green: Garden waste only. No soil or hardcore.
  • Hardcore: Brick, stone, concrete only. No soil.
  • Soil: Clean inert soil/turf only.

Prohibited Items: Asbestos, Gas Cylinders, Tyres, Paints/Oils, Fridge Freezers.
Maxi Skips: Must NOT be used for pure soil or hardcore.

6. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

  • Over 24 hours notice: Eligible for refund.
  • Out of Area: If you order from a postcode not listed in Section 1, we will provide an instant refund.
  • No Private Access: If a skip cannot be delivered because the location is a public road, a failed delivery fee will be deducted from your refund.

7. LIABILITY

The Customer is legally responsible for all waste placed in the skip. SK Skip Hire shall not be liable for damage to driveways or underground services when the skip is placed under Customer instruction.
